Becoming a game tester isn't very hard when you get noticed. The best way
to tell companies why they should hire you is through online exposure. For
example, making a website or a blog that can show that you're an
experienced gamer. The website or blog should consist of you making an
effort on gaming analysis. For example, the best way to do this is to
review games yourself.
Personally I think this is the best way to give a reason to the gaming
companies on why they should hire you because it shows that you're serious
about gaming and not just another gamer who wants to play games.
Especially since you're doing it on your own time and not as a job, it
looks a lot better. You can also get free new game releases if your
reviews are of high standard, gaming companies will you send new titles to
review.
Another great way is through vlogging or in other words making a video
blog on youtube in which you review games or talk about games. This is a
great way to get exposed as a professional gamer and sometimes if you get
it right the companies will come looking for you (in rare cases of course)
I suggest reviewing the latest games and stating what could have been done
better and some bugs you found, etc.
